William Joseph Juettner Obituary

Juettner, William Joseph age 83, of Mpls MN. passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025 under hospice care. Bill was born June 1942 in Mpls. He grew up within the Catholic school communities of Sacred Heart and Benilde High School.  Following a four year career in the Air Force as an airplane mechanic, he enrolled in St. Cloud State College where he earned his BA in Art. After college he worked briefly in advertising before following his passions for community service and auto mechanics specializing in classic European automobiles. In the seventies, Bill was a year round funeral procession motorcycle escort, a certified EMT, a Captain in the Mpls Civil Defense Fire Rescue Reserve, and a volunteer in the Mpls Fire Department Reserve.  After working many years at Quality Coaches in Mpls and participating in the Minnesota MG Group, he moved to Sandpoint Idaho in 1995 where he enjoyed the small town lifestyle, volunteering at the municipal airport, riding motorcycles, splitting wood and enjoying friendships. Due to health issues, Bill moved back to Minnesota in 2022 to be close to family. Even through his many years of struggle with dementia, a mischievous and humorous attitude always endured him to his friends and caregivers. He touched the lives of many and will be missed. Bill is survived by brothers Richard and Fred; sister-in-law Diana; ten nieces and nephews; and many friends. Preceded in death by parents, Anthony and Lucia Juettner; brother, Paul Juettner; and sister-in-laws, Rita Juettner and Mary Lou Juettner. A special thank you to Wealshire of Bloomington and Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital Home Care Services for the loving care provided to Bill. A celebration of life and internment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery will be scheduled Spring 2026. Memorials preferred to your favorite charity.
