Valerie Savsten, 75, passed away peacefully on November 19th, 2025. Valerie was born May 17th, 1950, in Minneapolis to Russell and Muriel Johnson.

Valerie is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Don. She is also survived by her siblings David (Lynn) Johnson, Vickie Kraft, Kevin (Sandy) Johnson, Trent (Linda) Johnson; her brother-in-laws Gary (Sharon) Savsten, Dale (Gaye) Savsten; many beloved nieces nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.

Valerie worked for many years at North Memorial Hospital as a patient transporter, where her gentle nature, patience, and kindness were felt by countless patients and coworkers. Her compassion extended far beyond her work—she was a dedicated foster mom to numerous dogs throughout her life, giving each one a safe and loving home.

Valerie had a heart of gold that she shared generously with family, friends, and every life she touched. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering care will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
