Bruce Wedan, age 73, of Eagan, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025.
Born on August 24, 1952, in Minneapolis, Bruce built a life grounded in creativity, curiosity, and quiet generosity. He spent the majority of his career in sales.
Bruce had an extraordinary love for making things. Whether crafting intricate woodworking projects or teaching himself to paint portraits, he found joy and calm in the process of creating. His hands were rarely still, and his family will cherish the pieces he made—each one a tangible reflection of his desire to create something of beauty and his patience.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Audrey and Donald, and his brother, Bill. He is survived by his loving wife, Norma; his daughter, Jenny; his sister, Diane (Chuck) Hetland; his brother, Rick (Peggy) Wedan; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 22 at 4pm at Corner Coffee Northeast, Minneapolis (2226 Central Ave NE), where family and friends will celebrate Bruce’s life with a coffee bar and cookies. In Bruce’s honor—and in appreciation of his long commitment to sponsoring children—memorial donations may be made to World Vision in lieu of flowers.
Bruce loved cookies, loved reading world history, creating, and he loved his family. His family will miss him deeply and remember him always.
