It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank Joseph Warner, age 83, of Minneapolis, MN, who left this world peacefully at Hennepin County Medical Center on November 6, 2025.

Frank was born in Minneapolis, MN to the late Frank J. Warner and Jeanette (Heinen) Warner. After graduating from Benilde High School, St. Louis Park, MN, he went on to graduate from the University of MN Twin Cities. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1962 to 1965. He also lived in Hartford, CT, and Arlington, VA, where he worked for Hartford Insurance.

Frank will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him. He was a man of quiet strength, deep kindness and unwavering resilience. Though he faced many challenges in his life, he always strived to do better. Although his journey was not easy, those who knew him best will remember him for his great heart, his laughter, and his beautiful smile. He was an exceptionally good golfer most of his life, learning from his Dad and continuing to enjoy golf in Minnesota and Florida. Frank also was a marathon runner, having completed Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth and the Twin Cities Marathon numerous times. He was proud of how well he did and loved running. Frank was a volunteer at the Minneapolis Veteran’s Hospital, escorting clients to their destinations. Even when in assisted living, he enjoyed helping residents in wheelchairs to get to meals or other places. Everyone remarked on his friendliness and his ever-present smile.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Jeanette Warner, his stepmother, Mary Warner, his sister, Jeanne Warner Nelson, his brothers-in-law, Jim Nelson and Dave Hmielewski, his sister-in-law, Jeani Warner and his nephew, Daniel Hmielewski. He is survived by his siblings Mary Kay Verkennes (Bob), Margaret Hetman (Frank), Kathy Hmielewski, Liz LaChance (Tony), Alice Rosado (Luis), John Warner, Lisa Van Pelt (Ed), Carol Butler (Richard), Jackie Macdonald (Jim); as well as Frank’s partner, Linda M.
