Dwight Richard Schroeder, 65, passed away on Sunday, November 16. Born November 12, 1960, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Dwight was the son of Lowell Schroeder and Eileen (Vold) Schroeder Einum Sand.
Dwight loved dogs and shared a special bond with every four-legged companion who crossed his path, including an orphaned raccoon cub that he once raised. A lifelong car enthusiast, he liked drag racing and treasured cars he owned over the years, especially his Corvette and Chevy Nova. He was also a big fan of classic rock music and enjoyed listening to live recordings.
Recently, Dwight was living in Duluth, MN, but spent much of his life in Rice Lake, WI. He worked a variety of jobs in his lifetime, including for Tombstone Pizza and at stores such as IGA and the Village Dell in Rice Lake. He enjoyed interacting with customers and was known for his dry and at times sarcastic sense of humor.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Dwight is survived by his brothers, Craig Schroeder and Mark Schroeder (Lori); his niece, Lindsey Powell (John); and his nephew, Evan Schroeder (Rachel). Memorial plans are pending.
