Mary Ann (Galloway) Engel, 88 of Bloomington, MN, passed away November 13, 2025.  She was born on March 14, 1937, in Waterloo, IA to David and Vivian Galloway.  She grew up in Waterloo and graduated from West High in Waterloo, IA in 1955.  Mary graduated from Iowa Teachers College (UNI). She later finished her teaching degree at Mankato State University in Mankato, MN.  She also achieved her Spiritual Direction certification and worked with several individuals in their spiritual journey.  She married David Engel, on August 8, 1959 and celebrated 60 wonderful years together.  Mary dedicated herself to her family and supported anyone who needed her.  She was preceded in death by husband David Engel and parents, David and Vivian Galloway.  

Survived by daughters, Cathy Bauman (Greg), Angie Mullen (Dave), Margee Saba (Mike); sons, John Engel (Netty), Bill Engel (Kim); 12 grandchildren, Matthew Bauman (Hannah), Jessica Rau (Kyle), Annie Saba, Becky Mullen (Zack), Kaitlin Saba (Dean), Joe Mullen (Abbie), Brian Engel (Grace), Ben Saba, Sarah Mullen, Carly Engel, Evan Engel, Ryan Engel, and 7 great grandchildren, Summit, Vera, Freya, Amelia, Daniel, Cameron, and Vivian along with many other relatives and friends. A celebration of Life will be held on December 13, 2025, at the Cremation Society of MN - Edina, 7110 France Avenue South, Edina, MN 55435, with a visitation beginning at 10 AM and memorial service at 11 AM.  Lunch will be served following the memorial service.
