Kathleen Ann (McDonald) Borkoski, affectionately called Mrs. Bork, Mom, Grammy, Sister, Aunt, and Friend.

Kathie was a devoted wife to Steve for 49 years, loving mom to Hilary (Greg) and Brady (Megan), adoring Grammy (Taya, Delia, Titus, Audrina), generous sister (Colleen/Richard, Mike/Suzanne, MaryLou/Jerry, Joni/Dale, Toody/Ber, John/Penny, Mo/Craig, Pat/Mary, Mick/Candy, Dori, Becky, Eric/Ingrid), doting aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, and the very best of friend and soul sister.

Kathie was employed by North Memorial for 35 years and an active board member of their Credit Union. Kathie’s favorite past times always included music; from Yacht Rock marathons, listening to vinyl in their basement, worshiping our Lord and Savior at church with music led by Brady, and enjoying the chimes of a casino from time to time.

She was the “go-to” person for all her family and friends - giving the most level-headed advice, being their most trusted confidant, and never turning down a good time. Because we were not prepared to say our goodbyes, we are so very grateful Kathie will live on through her gift of vital organ donation. Please join us in prayer for the 57-year-old recipient of Kathie’s liver and tissue with the lyrics of one of the family’s favorite Kenny Loggins songs, we “Celebrate Her Home” because Everything is in God’s Hands Today.

In lieu of flowers or memorials, please consider joining our family any Wednesday for a 6:30 pm service at Free Grace United Church in Becker, enjoying a meal/drink at The River Inn in Hanover, dancing under the moonlight of a full moon, gathering around a bonfire while listening to Yacht Rock, or making a donation to the North Memorial Health Foundation. A celebration of life will be held at Free Grace United Church in Becker at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 21st, with hugs and light refreshments immediately following.
