Timothy “Tim” Craig Crosby
U.S. Navy, RM3
May 7, 1948 – Nov. 6, 2025
At the all-too-young age of 77, Timothy Craig Crosby passed away unexpectedly on November 6, 2025, joining his wife of 38 years, Lorna Mae Crosby (née Flack), in everlasting peace.
A proud Duluth native and U.S. Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam era, Tim brought joy to everyone around him. Known fondly as “the ambassador,” he was quick to offer a kind word or compliment. His trademark “Tim-isms” live on in the hearts of his family, his friends at the Minnesota Veterans Home–Minneapolis, and in the memories of countless passersby.
Tim loved a good cup of coffee, a great conversation, and any excuse for a road trip—especially to Lake Superior and along the North Shore.
He is survived by his stepdaughters, Lee Ann Owens of Edina, MN (and her dog, Indie), and Kelly Hatton of Englewood, CO, along with her husband, Jim, and their children, Emily and Nick.
Our parting words are the same affirmations you so generously shared every day with others: “You are handsome. You are beautiful. God bless you.”
A Veterans Memorial Taps Service will be held in November at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery – Duluth, 4777 Highway 53, Saginaw, MN 55779.
Coffee will follow at Bridgeman’s—one of his favorite spots.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to the Animal Humane Society – Golden Valley, 845 Meadow Ln N, Golden Valley, MN 55422.
