It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Margaret “Peggy” Kohls. Peggy passed away on November 11th, 2025, at home with her loving husband and best friend, Paul at her side. She bravely battled breast cancer for 11 months and tried her best to kick cancers butt all along the way.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Kelly, sisters Julie and Susan, brothers Mike and Tom, and her loving husband Paul.
Peggy was an avid crafter, fisherman and supporter of organizations like Safe Journey, where she volunteered her time and energy counseling women suffering from domestic abuse.
Peggy and Paul were married on the beach in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. Per her request, ashes will be dispersed in the ocean near the beach where she was married as well as on her beloved Fish Trap Lake in northern Minnesota.
Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the love Peggy received from her family, friends, and home health/hospice caregivers – especially a wonderful lady named Maggie.
There will be a celebration of life for Peggy next spring at the cabin on Fish Trap – details to follow later.
