Marjorie Ann Peterson Obituary

Marjorie Ann Peterson passed away on November 5th, 2025, at the age of 85. She was a resident of North Ridge Assisted Living Facility.

Marjorie Ann was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, in 1939 to Thelma Mary (Scott) and John Wardell Dunnivant Sr. The family moved to Minnesota in 1946, and she spent her life deeply rooted in the community she loved. Known for her sense of humor, strong will, and unwavering devotion to family, she touched many lives and left a meaningful legacy.

Ann held numerous jobs, ranging from driving a delivery truck for the Post Office to providing childcare for her grandchildren and neighborhood kids. She worked for ADC Telecommunications for 18 years, where she became a supervisor in the manufacturing of microchips.

Throughout her years, Ann enjoyed playing and watching many sports. She was a talented pitcher on her women’s softball team for several seasons and an accomplished bowler—a hobby she enjoyed alongside her sister, husband, and many other friends and family members—traveling and competing in tournaments across the country for over 50 years.

Ann loved jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, and any word puzzle that landed in her lap.

Her home was always a place of welcome—where grandchildren played, friends stopped by, and she would always fix you a plate. She carried with her a spirit of generosity, offering a listening ear, a helping hand, or a smile to brighten someone’s day.

Ann is survived by her children Stacie, Margeana “Marti,” Ladell “Lala,” Michell, Micheal, and Ledell “Petey”; sister Barbara Callender; many nieces and nephews; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and other dear family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ledell Peterson I, brother John Dunnivant Jr., sons Byron Dunnivant, and Greg, daughter Brenda grandchildren Ricky, CeCelia, Lorenzo, Laneesha “Nene,” and great-grandson Cameron and great-granddaughter Baby Laneesha.
