Patricia Jean (Hagen) Peterson, of Excelsior, MN, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on November 6, 2025 at age 77.

Pat lived her life devoted to the three Fs – Faith, Family and Friends. Her strong Christian faith was the bedrock of her life. In everything she did, she strove to emulate Jesus.

Pat was born in Minneapolis, MN on August 15, 1948 to Al and Jean Hagen. After attending Washburn High School and Minnehaha Academy, Pat enrolled at Bethel College where she studied Elementary Education and Art. At Bethel, Pat met the love of her life, Steve Peterson. They married on September 7, 1968 at Edgewater Baptist, Pat’s childhood church. After graduating, Pat and Steve moved to Hoffman Estates, IL for a short time before moving back to the Twin Cities.

After several years of teaching, Pat and Steve welcomed three children and Pat became a full-time mom. Once the kids were older, she returned to teaching, first as a substitute, then as teacher of gifted students. As the years went on, Pat was overjoyed to become Nana to six grandkids.

Pat is survived by her husband, Steve; kids Stefani (Nick) Weber, Robb (Laura) and Rick (Krista) Peterson; grandkids Ben, Stella, Shaun, Audrey, Brady and Charlie; brothers Tom (Sharon) Hagen and Rick Hagen; and many cousins, nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by parents Al and Jean Hagen, parents-in-law Delroy and Verone Peterson and sister-in-law Cindy Hagen.

Memorial Service is planned for November 20, 2025 at Grace Church in Eden Prairie at 11:00 am, with visitation at 10:00. Memorials are preferred to N.C. Little Hospice, Edina, MN, whose staff and volunteers provided such compassionate care for Pat and her family in her final days.
