Joseph Paul Vogel

Joe, age 73, of Inver Grove Heights, MN, passed away on November 7, 2025 in Home Hospice, due to complications from Parkinson's Disease.

Born on November 24, 1951 in Tucson, Arizona, he grew up in St Louis, Missouri.  Joe moved to Minnesota to attend St Mary's College in Winona, where he received his Accounting Degree and later became a CPA.

Joe loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was a faithful servant.  Joe served as a Children's Pastor and Awana Commander at New Life Church of Woodbury. He conducted Bible Studies for incarcerated youth through Arise Ministries and for men at the Workhouse in St Paul.  He volunteered in various capacities with Hmong youth through the Union Gospel Mission for a number of years.  Joe also traveled to Ghana, West Africa, four times to train Ghanaian Pastors in the Word of God.

Joe will be sorely missed.  He loved others and always gave people the benefit of the doubt. He had wisdom and intelligence, but was also gentle, humble, and non-judgmental.  Joe enjoyed spending time with family, listening to music, and was a big fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the St Louis Cardinals.

Survived by Wife of 34 years, Kimberley Vogel; Children, Theresa Vogel (Brian Leedy) of Denver, CO, Joseph D Vogel (Rachel) of Golden, CO, Isabelle Sutliff (Jeremy) of Bloomington, MN; Grandchildren, Finola, Coralina, Bennett, Madeline, and Jace; Brothers, Mark Vogel (Mary) of Chicago, IL and James Vogel of Hingham, MA; Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins; Mother-in-Law, Pauline Johnson of Cottage Grove, MN; Brother-in-Law, James Johnson (Sharon) of Hugo, MN and Sister-in-Law, Roxanne McGrath (Daniel) of Missoula, MT.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 22 at 11:00 a.m..  Visitation an hour prior (10:00 a.m.) at New Life Church of Woodbury, 6758 Bailey Rd, Woodbury, MN 55125, with lunch to follow.
