Melvin "Mel" Raeker

Age 71, passed peacefully at home in Danbury, WI with his wife Denise by his side.

Service to be held at Church of St. Patrick in Edina, MN on Thursday, Dec. 4th, 2025. Visitation at 10am followed by service and lunch.

Mel was born and raised in Melrose. As an adult, Mel moved to Eagan to pursue a lifelong career as a carpenter and business owner. Mel retired to his lake home in Danbury, where he and Denise enjoyed spending time fishing, boating, and relaxing with family and friends.

Preceded in death by parents Arnold and Rosemary and brother Richard.

Survived by wife Denise, stepsons Justin (Amelia), Christopher, Michael (Erin) and grandchildren Aiden, Elliot and Teagan.

Survived by siblings Roland, Eileen, Jerome, JoAnn, Luella, Alcuin, Dorine and many nieces and nephews.
