Paul Joseph Udovich, 84, passed away on November 1. He was surrounded by his children in Essential Hospital. He was born in Duluth on March 23,1941 to Lucia and Anton Udovich. Paul spent his life living in Morgan Park. He graduated from Morgan Park High School in 1959 and then graduated from UMD with an accounting major and history minor. He went on to work at Minnesota Power and Light for 39 years. After retirement, he went on to open his own tax service business. He was also in the Air National Guard for 9 years. Being with family, especially his Grandchildren was one of his biggest joys in life. He was immensely proud of his grandkids and loved to watch their sporting and musical events and other activities. Paul enjoyed fishing and was known to many as a very skilled steelhead fisherman on the Knife River. He played basketball in high school and college. He enjoyed bowling on leagues and with his Grandkids. Three times he bowled a perfect 300. Paul is survived by his loving children Susan Laugen, Michael Udovich, Maria (Jeff) Emanuel and Andrea Houle; his 8 cherished Grandchildren Jacob, Elle, Reese, Nick, Maya, Sam, Joshua and Gianna. He is also survived by his brothers James Udovich and Peter Pelayic; nieces and nephews Greg Udovich, Peter Pelayic, Mary Malloy, Beth Duffy, Michaela Heller and Shawn Pelayic. He was preceded in death by his parents Lucia and Anton. There will be a service on November 6th at 4pm at the Cremation Society of Duluth. Paul will forever be in our hearts.
