In memorial of William Frank Peters, Jr.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved husband and father, William Frank Peters, Jr., who left us on October 23rd, 2025. He was a man of quiet strength, steady faith, and unconditional love. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. Bill lived his life with integrity, generosity, and a deep sense of purpose. He taught us the value of hard work, the importance of kindness and the joy of laughter.
Bill was born November 18, 1948, in St. Cloud, MN to William Sr. and Rosemary (Plombon) Peters. He attended Catholic grade school in St. Cloud before his family moved to Willmar. Bill graduated from Willmar Senior High in 1967. Bill was an overall good athlete, excelling in baseball. He received an invitation from the Minnesota Twins for a tryout as a pitcher. Bill then went on to attend St. Thomas University, ultimately graduating from the University of MN and then Mankato State University for his Master of Science. Bill married Sandra Grosenick on December 17, 1971. They were blessed with two daughters, Melissa (Ron) Haugrud and Kristina (Bryce) Bittner. His life was also enriched with his grandson William Peters (Lily) and his great grandchildren Warren and Evelyn.
Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years Sandra, daughters Melissa (Ron) Haugrud and Kristina (Bryce) Bittner. grandson William (Lily), great grandchildren Warren and Evelyn, sisters Kathy George, Paula (Larry) Juhl, Mary Lynn (Craig) Meyer, and many nieces and nephews.
Bill’s kindness and wisdom will remain a guiding light in our lives. Though we mourn his absence, we are grateful and comforted by the memories and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
