Judith “Judy” Kay Wories

Judith K. Wories (née Newenhouse), age 80, of Columbia Heights, MN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

Judy was born in Harvey, IL on January 23, 1945 to Julius and Cora (nee Vanderbilt) Newenhouse.  She was raised in South Holland, IL and attended Thornridge High School in Dolton, IL.  When her children were young she worked as a homemaker.  In later years, she worked as a day care provider and as a CNA in the memory care unit for Presbyterian Senior and Assisted Living. She was a member of Constance Free Church in Andover, MN.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bert Wories Sr., and her daughter, Heather Renee Clements.

Judy is survived by her children, Sandra DeMars and husband Jeff of Crown Point, IN, Tammy Krause and husband Glen of Corcoran, MN, James Scheeringa and wife Deb of Eagan, MN, June Lykins and husband, Don of Hamilton, OH, son-in-law Dominic Clements of Rogers, MN, Karyn Sims and husband Craig of Isanti, MN, eighteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, her sister, Sharon Heath of Rochester, IN, two nieces, and special cousins.

Judy enjoyed reading, Bible study, praise music, and cheering on the Vikings. She loved to laugh and have fun and was generous to everyone that she knew.  Above all, she treasured spending time with her family and was never happier than when they all gathered together.

Memorial services will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Constance Free Church, 16150 Crosstown Blvd NW, Andover, MN.  A visitation will be held at that location at 10 am. Services will be followed by a luncheon on site.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Cremation Society of Minnesota.
