Bonnie Jean (Buesing) Erickson of Cape Coral FL, formerly Woodbury, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on October 21st after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Bonnie was born February 8th, 1955, in Minneapolis, MN to Arthur Buesing and Marion (Williams) Buesing. She was the oldest of four children.

Bonnie graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School in 1973. Bonnie earned a degree in nursing from St. Mary’s in Rochester MN, before switching careers and began working for the phone company, Northwestern Bell in 1977. Bonnie’s career with the phone company evolved over the years, prior to her death she was a Lead Project Manager.

On June 29th, 1991, Bonnie married the love of her life, Larry Erickson at the Breezy Point chapel. Together they enjoyed traveling, boating, and spending time with family and friends.

Bonnie never met a stranger; she was a friend to everyone. She would light up any room she entered with her infectious energy and laugh. Bonnie decorated the St. Croix Marina with flags every year for the 4th of July celebration.

Bonnie is proceeded in death by her parents Arthur Buesing and Marion (Williams) Buesing, and brother-in-law Lon Erickson.

Bonnie was survived by her husband Larry, until his passing on January 31, 2026. They were together for 39 years and married for 34 years. 

Bonnie is survived by her sister Karen (David) Peterson, brother David (Julie) Buesing, brother Arthur Buesing (Joy Carmichael). Brother-in-law Loren Erickson. Nieces and nephews; Andrew Peterson (Sheila), Heather Holbrook (Scott), Kristi Heiling (Dustin), Mitch Irvin (Katty), Jennifer Buesing, Matt Buesing, Nicole Frank, Luke Erickson, Tyler Erickson, Lara Erickson; great nieces and nephews, Hope, Alexia, Andres, Wyatt, Wayne, Sofia, Logan, Levi; many cousins, and friends that were like family.

A combined Celebration of Life is planned for both Bonnie and Larry on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 2pm-6pm at the Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 4600 Greenhaven Dr., White Bear Lake, MN.
