Samuel Isaiah Kugler Obituary

Samuel Isaiah Kugler, a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend; passed away on 

October 12, 2025 at the age of 37. He was born on July 22, 1988 in Waconia, MN and 

graduated high school from Watertown-Mayer High School in 2006.



Sam was a voracious reader and explorer. He enjoyed the outdoors, specifically the Boundary 

Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in northern Minnesota. He also spent time in Alaska living in 

and experiencing the last great frontier. He had a passion for music and enjoyed sharing it with 

others. Sam was a proud uncle to 8 nieces and nephews: Greta, Sara, Andrew, Erik, Troy, Lucas, 

Leila, and Emmadean. They were the lights of his life.



He was proceeded in death by his father (Douglas Kugler) and grandparents (Robert and Lila 

Kugler and Dale and Leila Bothun).



He is survived by his mother (Tamie Kugler), brother and sister-in-law (Shawn and Julie Kugler), 

brother and sister-in-law (Nat Kugler and Jane Boer), and sister and brother-in-law (Cora and 

Dan Terry), along with many other family and friends.



A celebration of life will be held at Shorewood Community & Event Center on Nov. 1st, 2025 

from 12:30 – 4:00 pm.
