Elijah Coleman Sr. passed away peacefully at his home in Maplewood on Monday October 13, 2025 at the age of 89.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey, his sons: Ernest Charles [Alisha], Elijah Jr [Irene], Don [Linette], Albert [Nancy], Elwood David [Missy], daughter Katrina and Chucky Graham. He also has a sister, Carrie Jean Sampson of Fayette MS.

Elijah was a Custodian Boiler Engineer and worked for Northwest Airlines and his home church, Mt. Olivet Missionary Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life will be held at Mt. Olivet Missionary Baptist Church, 451 Central Avenue West, St. Paul, MN 55103 on Saturday, November 1st with Visitation at 11 a.m. and service at 12 N.

Plans are for a private burial in Fayette, MS at a later date.
