It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mom and wife, Marion Fangel on October 17, 2025 at the age of 88.

Marion’s warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew her. She lived a life defined by kindness, strength and devotion to those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, James, parents, Frank and Marion Meidlinger and grandson, Luke.

Survived by children, Timothy (Susan), Sheila (friend, Lisa) and Thomas (Janet), grandchildren, James (Sophie), Andrew (Abby), Laura (Darren), Sammy and Dylan (Nina), great-grandchildren, Jacob, Charlotte, Carly, Elena, Reid, McKenzie and Henry, brother, Dennis (Lynne) and many other loving family and friends.

Marion worked for over 40 years in the food service for ISD 197 at Garlough Elementary School. She was known at her Senior Living facility as the “Little Roadrunner”. She loved spending time with her family at her cabin. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were here pride and joy and she enjoyed spending time at their sporting events and activities.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Marion’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025 at 10AM with a visitation one hour prior and luncheon to follow at the Church of Assumption, 51 West 7th Street, St Paul, MN. Private burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
