Dale Owen Kenney Obituary

Dale Kenney, husband, father, friend, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025. He is greatly missed by many.

Raised in Bloomington, he was the only son of Helen and Hayden Kenney, but had a large family of cousins that he was close to throughout his life.

He was a hard worker, in the early days he was a car mechanic in a small shop, later as a mechanic working on ground equipment at Northwest Airlines where he attained the position of crew chief . His final occupation, which he enjoyed the most, was as a full time antique dealer specializing in furniture. He always said that buying was his favorite part, but made many lasting friendships “in the business”.

One of his favorite things to do was feeding the ducks and geese at the pond that adjoined their property in Richfield and watching for the eagle to soar overhead.

Dale is survived by his wife Judy; son Kevin Kenney; daughters, Cheryl (Tom) Kruchten, Leslie (David) Scales, Kristen (Kirk Engelke) Kenney; grandchildren Jon, Alicia, Michael; great-grandchildren Jackson, Noah, Harper, Dahlia.
