Blaine (Beaux) Matthew Summers passed away on August 18, 2025, in Shakopee, Minnesota, at the age of 40. He was born on August 8, 1985, in Norfolk, Virginia, and resided in Swansboro, North Carolina.

Life and Passions

Beaux Summers was known as a free spirit who spent the past sixteen years traveling across the country with the Renaissance Festival. His work with various vendors made him an accomplished merchandiser and salesman, selling products such as swords, honey, leather goods, jewelry, and souvenirs. Among his favorite stops on the festival circuit were Minnesota, Colorado, Phoenix, North Carolina, and New Orleans. Beaux had a deep love for the outdoors and especially for animals.

Character and Beliefs

Friends and family remember Beaux for his wonderful personality, infectious laughter, and his love for good times and his willingness to help others. He cared deeply for his family, was well liked by his Renaissance Festival community, and held a strong faith in God. As the Eagles song says, “There’s a hole in the world tonight.”

Family

Beaux was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Francis Ilsley of West Palm Beach, Florida. He is survived by his mother, Michelle Ilsley Summers of Swansboro, NC, and Mark Summers of Plainview, TX. He leaves behind his son, Bradley Summers of Rogersville, TN; grandparents Ken and Bonnie Drury of Swansboro, NC; half-sisters Shelby Summers and Amy Summers of Plainview, TX; aunts, uncles, cousins, and his many friends from the Renaissance Festival.

Celebration of Life

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 29, 2025, at 4:00 PM (EST) at Bethlehem Methodist Church, located at 728 Bogue Loop Rd, Bogue, NC 28570.
