Art was born on November 19, 1931, in Burlington, Iowa.  He actively participated in three sports during high school, including playing center on the undefeated Burlington High School Football Team, and proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After graduating from the University of Iowa, Art and Sarah moved to St. Louis Park, where they raised their family and Art spent his working career in sales, primarily in the metal finishing industry.

Art’s entire adult life was devoted to his family, whom he loved dearly. Art attended nearly all of his son’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. All who knew him were truly blessed by his compassionate love, unwavering support, and his sense of humor.  Everyone who knew Art experienced his kind heart.

We are comforted that he has returned to God’s loving arms and reunited with the love of his life, Sarah.  It was a life spent loving. Well done and rest in peace.

In honor of Art, enjoy a bowl of ice cream - any flavor, any time of day or night!
