Shirley Marjorie Quinn was born in Leslie Township MN on Feb 10th 1936, the third child and only daughter of Stanley P. Sprague and Margaret H. Johnson Sprague. She grew up on Oak Hill farm and at ten years of age the family moved to the Sprague homeplace a couple miles northwest.

Always loving known to her family members as "sister" as she was the only girl with four brothers.

In 1955 she married Roger Quinn in Osakis, MN. She was a homemaker and raised six children. In later years she worked in the Home Health Care field as well as a number of years at Terrace Heights Assisted Living in Osakis.

Her home was always a welcome gathering place for many children over the years.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Osakis and their Woman's Group at the church.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Roger in 1998, a stillborn baby boy, her parents, and four brothers, Dennis, David, Donald and Daniel.

She is survived by her children,  Mary (Tom) Winchester,  Mark (Cathy),  Kathleen Kirsch, Tim (Theresa),  Julie (Tim) Bruder, and  Allen (Jessica),

Grandchildren,  C.J. (Rayna) Kirsch,  Nicole (Doug) Olson, Laura (Aaron) Frederick, Tony(Atin) Quinn, Brianna (Zach) Sobolewski, Katie Haeckel,  Roger (Eva) Quinn, Marie (Ben) Cencer, Tyler (Christina) Bruder, Jacob (Emily) Bruder, Haley (Clayton) Niehoff, and Cameron Quinn.

20 Great Grandchildren.  

Sisters in law, Joan Sprague,  Betty Sprague, Marvel Sprague. Many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Shirley will be held at the Osakis VFW on Saturday,  October 18, 2025 from 11:00 to 2:00.
