Holley, Robert T. “Bob”

Age 81 of St. Paul, MN passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Bob was born in 1944 to Betty and Seymour Holley. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John (Carlene), and his wife of 37 years, Ingrid. Bob was a graduate from Richfield High School, Stanford University, and the University of Minnesota Law School. Most of his career was spent with the Minnesota Attorney General’s office. Earlier, Bob served in the Army Reserve and enjoyed coaching youth sports. A committed lifelong learner, Bob was an avid reader, loved a turn of phrase, word play, and riddles. Bob could often be found cheering in the stands or sidelines of his favorite ball players’ games, even if he didn’t always agree with all the calls. Bob is survived by his life partner of twelve years, Joanne; her daughter Stephanie; and her grandchildren Abby and Sam; his sons Daniel and Douglas; daughter-in-law Katie; and his grandchildren Maxwell, Thomas and Anna.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Cremation Society of MN- St. Paul on October 12th with Words of Remembrance at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow. Doors will open at 10:30a.m. for a visitation.
