Symon Morris Ruben, age 13, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 23, 2025, following a lifelong battle with congenital heart disease. Born on July 12, 2012, Symon was always up for trying any activity or joining in any adventure.

Symon is survived by his devastated parents, Adam Ruben and Manda Schaan, and his loving brothers, Jude and Micah. His aunts, uncles and cousins, too many to list, are all heartbroken.

Symon had a strong effect on everyone he met and leaves a hole in the lives of family and his many friends, including many, many adults who knew him to be sweet, funny and wise. Everyone who met him has a story about Symon – his family hopes to hear them all. To say he will be deeply missed is an understatement.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Symon’s life will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Braemar Golf Course, located at 6364 John Harris Dr, Edina, MN 55439. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by the service at 1:00 p.m., with a reception to follow

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Camp Odayin and The Ronald McDonald House.
