Age 59, of Woodbury, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday September 21, 2025 surrounded by loved ones after a courageous endeavor with cholangiocarcinoma. Preceded in death by parents, Elizabeth and Lloyd Rodrique; stepmother, Waneta Rodrique; siblings, Greg, Tom, and Kathy Rodrique; nephews, Shane, Jeff, and Beau Rodrique, and Joe Tetu. Survived by children, Rachelle (Tony) Trinka and Nick Thole; granddaughter, Vada Trinka; siblings, Mary (Tom) Vierling, sister-in-law Cindy Rodrique, Jerry (Terry) Rodrique, Vicky (Kevin) Slaikeu, Jim Rodrique, Barb LeVasseur, Billy (Kim) Rodrique, Susan (Adam) Shackett, and Debbie Knox; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. 

Julie grew up in the Dayton’s Bluff neighborhood of East St. Paul, MN and was a graduate of Harding High School. She worked at the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office for over 30 years. She lit up every room with her vibrant personality and witty sense of humor. She loved music, shopping, long walks, reminiscing about the past, warm weather, and cooking.

Family and friends were her world. She enjoyed talking and joking about politics with her brothers. Every time she was with her sisters they would laugh and tell stories. They enjoyed taking drives just to see where the day would take them. They were all best friends. Her children meant the world to her. They would get together multiple times each week for dinner while enjoying the little things in life together. About a year and a half ago, Julie became a Grandma to her first grandchild, Vada and they absolutely adored one another. Vada inherited Julie’s beauty, sense of humor, positive energy, and facial expressions. Even though their time together was cut short, the countless memories made will be cherished forever in our hearts until we meet again in heaven.

Julie will be honored, loved and deeply missed by all who knew her. Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I'll miss you, until we meet again

A visitation will occur at the Cremation Society of MN at 1979 Old Hudson Rd, St Paul, MN 55119 on Thursday October 9, 2025 from 4-7PM.
