JORGENSEN, Merlyn Elsie, age 88, of Hutchinson, previously of Dallas, Georgia, passed away on September 14, 2025.  Retired longtime elementary school teacher in Paulding County, Georgia.  Her fellow teacher's said of her "to sum it all up, Merlyn is a teacher who possesses wisdom,creativity and love..all of which encouraged her students to become the best they could be".  She is a 1964 Graduate of the University of Minnesota.   Merlyn had a lifetime committment to missions both here in the United States and abroad in Mexico.  She was heavily involved in committee work and support of the United Methodist Church in her community.   She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Margaret Jorgensen (Stone); brother, Allen Jorgensen.   She will be deeply missed by a niece, Darla Taufiq (Zahid); nephew, Michael Jorgensen; other relatives and good friends.  Per her wishes, private family services.
