Beatrice Samas Obituary

Beatrice “Bea” Samas, a longtime resident of Rosemount, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025. Born in Fort William, Ontario, on March 25, 1937, she was the youngest daughter of Andrew and Julia Samas.


 


Bea dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse and was know for her warmth, quiet strength, and generous spirit. She loved to sew and to knit socks and shawls for family and friends, and she found great joy in traveling.


 


Though she never married or had children of her own, Bea’s heart was full of love for her family. She is lovingly remembered by her nieces Andrea Wood and Elaine Bell; nephews Richard (Kim) Samas, Stephen (Patti Anne) Samas, Robert (Michelle) Samas; and by her many great-nieces and great- nephews. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Yvonne Samas.


 


Bea was predeceased her parents Andrew and |Julia Samas, her older sister Julie and brother-in-law Ernie Matson, her brother Andrew Samas and niece’s husband Rodney Bell.


 


Funeral will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on May Street and interment at Mountain View Cemetery of Thunder Bay, Ontario at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Bea’s memory.


 


Her family and friends will cherish memories of her kindness, her devotion to nursing, her handmade gifts, and her adventurous spirit.
