Brian Erik Johnson, age 49, of Savage, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2025.

Born on September 29, 1975, to Bonnie Scholljegerdes and Bruce Johnson, Brian lived life with energy, humor, and an adventurous spirit. From an early age, he had a remarkable gift for making others laugh and was always at the center of fun. He loved all things motorized—whether on a motorcycle, dirt bike, dune buggy, or snowmobile—and embraced every opportunity for excitement. Brian worked hard, but he played even harder.

Known affectionately as the “Mountain Dew Kid,” “Dynamite,” “Bucky,” or “Bucko,” Brian brought joy, laughter, and a larger-than-life presence to every gathering. A highly skilled tradesman, he took great pride in his work and approached life with creativity, determination, and grit. Above all, Brian will be remembered for the fierce love and loyalty he showed to his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by  Don and Maureen Johnson, and Leroy and Nancy Scholljegerdes.

Brian is survived by his father, Bruce (Sue) Johnson; mother, Bonnie Scholljegerdes; stepfather, Kerry (Jo) Moeller; sister, Kimberly (Kevin), Lang; uncle, David Scholljegerdes; son, Cash; and life partner, Meghan Dobson.

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held on September 21st, 2025, where his loved ones will gather to honor his memory and the impact he made on all who knew him.
