Eric Fletty, 52, of Eagan, MN, passed away on September 4, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and love. Born on August 25, 1973, in Waukegan, Illinois, Eric lived a life filled with adventure, friendship, and service to others.

His childhood was an adventure in itself: traveling the country with his family in a Volkswagen camper van, exploring national parks and forests, and building campfires with his brother. Later, in Northern Maine, he grew into a vibrant young man who embraced sports, music, and friendships that remained dear throughout his life.

At the University of Maine, Eric pursued mechanical engineering while also pursuing fun: playing volleyball, creating comedy skits, and leading solar boat engineering projects. His compassion, energy, and professional leadership carried him into a career that helped him travel the globe, from Borneo to Cuba.

Eric will be remembered for his kindness, his empathy, and the support he brought to those around him. He was a talented photographer, capturing the beauty of his travels, and a devoted dog lover who gave his heart to the animals he cared for, especially his dog Oscar.

He is survived by his loving parents, Mike and Jennie Fletty; his brother and family, Joel and Laura Fletty; nephews Konrad and Bodhin; and his faithful dog, Oscar. Eric's life touched many, and his memory will be celebrated by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Eric's life will be held later, so family and friends may gather together and share their many memories.
