Kenneth Eugene Anderson Obituary

Kenneth Eugene Anderson, age 73, of Lakeville, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1, 2025. Ken was born May 18, 1952, to Hjalmer and Agnes Anderson. He graduated from Richfield Senior High School in 1970 and followed with a brief stint in the US Navy. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Sidney and Craig.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Terry; his children, Nick (Jen), Nathan (Lisa), and Neal (Meghan); his grandchildren, Quinn, Nova, Addison, and Brynn; sisters June and Bonnie; and brother, James.

Ken grew up in Richfield, MN, where he learned to drive cars years before he was old enough for a license. His life was forever changed when he met Terry at the infamous JJs in Richfield, MN connected to the Heidelberg Restaurant. It was “love at first sight,” as stated by one of his best friends, Kevin Capel, and they were married the next year.

Many of his employers throughout his career became lifelong friends and mentors. From Jerry and Pat Oanes, Bill and Diane Dunnigan, and later Scott Stevens...wherever he went, success followed.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he was known for his generous spirit and ability to make friends wherever he went. Whether he was working on cars, tackling construction projects around the house, or cruising around town, he always enjoyed spending cherished time with his family.

Ken lived his life with kindness and selflessness, always putting others before himself. He will be remembered for his warm heart, strong work ethic, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held October 11th, from Noon-3pm at The Tavern Grill, 15435 Founders Lane, Apple Valley, MN.
