Marian R. Grette Fronk, age 97, formerly of Edina, passed away September 4th, 2025 at Friendship Village in Bloomington. Preceded in death by husband of 68 years, Robert, daughter Mary, brothers Einar and Olaf Grette, sister Solveig Kramer and parents Gullik and Sofie Grette of Norway. Survived by sister Laura Rude, children David (Kathy Kotula) Fronk,  Ann (Robert) Sandstrom and Thomas (Anne Robertson) Fronk, grandchildren Meg (Casey) Nice, Kate (Chris) Townsend, Harry, Elizabeth, Stuart, Nathan, great grandson Cameron Townsend as well as many nieces and nephews.

Proud graduate of Roosevelt High School and the University of Minnesota.  Marian worked at The Blake School as an elementary teacher for 23 years. She was known for her units on monarch butterflies and whales. Marian loved to sing and play the piano, sew and do needlepoint, cook, read and do jigsaw puzzles and the daily crossword. She loved to travel and especially loved visiting Norway and the North Shore.

The service will take place at Peace Lutheran Church, 8600 East Bush Lake Road Bloomington MN on Saturday, September 27th at 11am with visitation 1 hour prior. Luncheon will follow the service. Private interment at Lakewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Peace Lutheran Church or Minnesota Arboretum, 3675 Arboretum Drive Chaska, MN.
