Michelle Renee Hobot

Michelle (Shelley) Renee Hobot, 46 years old, of Edina, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded with love by her husband, Tony, and sons, Jake and Logan. Shelley was born on December 15,1978, to Virginia Miller and Ken Miller Sr. Shelley married Tony Hobot on May 11, 2006 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Shelley and Tony have three children, Cody, Jacob and Logan.

Shelley was preceded in death by her mom, Virginia Miller, and her father-in-law, Roger Hobot. She is survived by her husband, Tony Hobot, and sons, Cody (Ezara) Miller, Jacob Hobot and Logan Hobot; her father and stepmother, Ken Miller, Sr. and Geraldine of Dresser, WI; brother, Ken (Linda) Miller of Forest Lake, MN; sister, Tammy (Kirk) Erikstrup of Debary, FL; step-brother, Terry (Jodie) Olson of St. Croix Falls, WI; sister, Angie (Rick) Miller of Hugo, MN; brother, Scott (Casey) Miller of Ellsworth, WI, and many other family members including nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, and uncles, and friends.

Shelley loved vacationing with her family. She enjoyed many sporting events including Twins baseball, Vikings football, and Minnesota Wild hockey games with her husband, Tony, and sons, Logan and Jake. She loved family gatherings, entertaining, and summer grill outs with friends and family. She would play hours of cornhole with friends and family. Shelley dearly loved her family and friends. She enjoyed weekly trips to Caribou, playing board games and shopping with her boys.

Shelley was an amazing cook and loved her Food Network. She especially enjoyed the Minnesota State Fair, St. Patrick’s Day and Christmas. Shelley loved to travel with her family, especially to Florida and Mexico. One of the most recent memorable trips was with her family to Mexico. During that trip, Tony and Shelley renewed their vows with Jake and Logan in attendance.

She will be missed by all she touched. Her Celebration of Life and gathering will be held Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 12-5 pm in the Community Room at York Plaza, 7230 York Avenue South in Edina, MN.
