Andrew “Andy” Melendez, 89, of Edina, died in the Lord Jesus Christ on August 31, 2025.

Preceded in death by loving wife, Wilma, parents, three sisters, one brother, one sister-in-law, and eight brothers-in-law. Survived by son Brian (Kristin) Melendez and grandchildren Eric (Emily), James, and Elise; daughter Lynn Morales and grandchildren Payton and Olivia; great-grandchild Jenesis Morales; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ruth Jeffries, Howard (Carol) Dierking, Sue Dierking, Barb (Del) Weinhold, and Karl (Marie) Dierking; and nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the staff at Yorkshire of Edina Senior Living and Lifespark Hospice for their loving care of Andy.

Service: September 20 at 11:00 a.m., St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, Bloomington. Visitation: 10:00 a.m.
