Lynn D Cook, age 73, of Brooklyn Park, MN, passed away peacefully at home on August 22, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Evelyn, siblings Wilbur (Leona), Alvin ( Lucille), Hazel (William) Smaglik, Melvin (Barbara), and sister-in-law Carol.

He is survived by his loving wife Nancy, children Andy and Jennifer, grandson Michael, brothers Jerry, Neil(Kay), Harlin "Butch" (Carol), as well as nieces, nephews, and friends.

Lynn proudly served in the U.S. Army as a military police officer during the Vietnam War.

In 1989, Lynn found his calling and joined the Brooklyn Park Fire Department, where he worked for 18 years. He was later promoted to the assistant fire marshal at the St.Cloud Fire Department before retiring in 2016.

Lynn will always be remembered for his devotion to his loved ones and memories he created with his family and friends. Lynn especially enjoyed watching The Lion King and The Princess Bride with his grandson Michael.

Lynn loved coaching several sports for both his children. He also enjoyed walks in the neighborhood visiting all the dogs he met on his route.

A visitation will be held September 16, 2025 starting at 10:00 am with a celebration of Lynn's life will be held at 11:00 am at the Cremation Society 7835 Brooklyn Blvd Brooklyn Park Mn.
