Gerald "Jerry" E. Hobbs, of Edina, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, at the age of 90. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Kathy, son Jonathan (Jennifer), grandchildren Victoria and Andrew Hobbs Bloomington, sister-in-law Linnea (Ron) Montplaisir, nephews Greg and Brad Montplaisir and families of Portland, Oregon.

Jerry was born March 3, 1935, to Eugene and Helen (Reininger) Hobbs, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He graduated from Washington High alongside his best friend since kindergarten, Dave Lowe. He went on to graduate in 1957 from Arizona State University where he was enrolled in the ROTC program and earned a degree in business administration. After his marriage to Kathy, they became residents of Edina, where they raised their son Jon.

Jerry's career in banking was at Norwest Bank (now Wells Fargo), where he made lifelong friends.  After retirement he enjoyed trips to Scottsdale, Arizona, lunch and coffee times with friends and working in his beloved garden.

A reception to share memories of Jerry will be held on September 14th from 1 to 4 PM at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina MN 55435.
