Patti Lou Anderson, age 73 of Buffalo, Minnesota, passed away peacefully in her home on August 3, 2025, with her daughters by her side.

Patti was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on October 6, 1951. She was the youngest of three children raised by Bert and Lucille Anderson. They lived in Plymouth, Minnesota, before moving to the family farm in Orrock, Minnesota. Patti attended Big Lake Schools through high school.

Patti and her daughters, Amy and Bridgette, lived in Zimmerman, Minnesota, before moving to Elkton, South Dakota, in 1981.

She held many roles throughout her life, including secretarial and office manager positions, co-owner of a hardware store, molding and machine operator, road construction, SDSU police dispatcher, EMT, and spent many years in the restaurant industry sharing her talents in the kitchen.

Through the years, Patti enjoyed many hobbies, including crocheting, sewing, and crafts. She loved cooking and baking and also liked reading, puzzles, and computer games. Becoming a Gramma was the highlight of her life—she rarely missed school or church functions for her grandkids and proudly shared stories about them with everyone she met. She was bursting with excitement to become a Great-Gramma and her heart was full when she recently met her great-grandson. Patti was very passionate about music and movies, boasting a large and eclectic collection of both.

She is survived by her daughters, Amy Wiskur (Jerry Waite) and Bridgette Maki (Brad); her grandchildren, Jake Wiskur (Kaylee), Hailie McLearen (Eric Duymich), Matthew Wiskur (Alexandria), and Jaxon Maki; and one great-grandson, Carter Jon Wiskur; her sister, Esther Huhen; her brother, Donnie Anderson (Connie); a niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Lucille Anderson.

Patti’s strength, and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her and will be dearly missed.

Together, we’ll share memories and honor the unique individual she was.
