We celebrate the life of Thomas A. Barnes, who passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025 at the age of 61. He was born September 19, 1963, and is survived by his mother, GloriaDei Barnes and brother, Gregory J Barnes (wife Cynthia Barnes). He is preceded by his father, Frank Gregory Barnes and brother, James E Barnes. He was a life-long residence of Cottage Grove. He graduated from Park Senior High School in 1981. He worked as a Laborer Custodian for the United States Postal for 40 years. He worked at various Post Offices, Stations and Branches throughout the Metro Area during that time. He was a long-time member of the St Paul Chapter of the American Postal Workers Union (APWU). He will be remembered for his kindness and love for his family. Visitation is scheduled at 10:00am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00am to be held Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at St, Rita’s Catholic Church, located at 8694 80th St South in Cottage Grove.
