Arnold Henry "Arnie" Olson Obituary

Arnold “Arnie” Henry Olson

It is with profound sadness that we share that our beloved Arnie Olson went home to be with Jesus on August 3, 2025. A quiet soul with a deep & vast love for his family, friends and church. He has been loved by so many in his 80 years on earth and will be greatly missed.

Born November 16,1944 in Minneapolis, MN to Henry and Marie Olson. Arnie grew up in Robbinsdale, MN, graduating from Robbinsdale High in 1962. He enjoyed frequent visits to see family in the Gary, SD farming community. An all-around good kid with a mischievous streak when paired with the right friends or cousins. He very proudly enlisted in the Navy and served a tour during the Vietnam War. Arnie married Barb on March 16, 1974 and together they raised Greg, Scott, and Nancy. He was a dedicated jeweler at Ostbye and Anderson, retiring after 46 years. He enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing, hunting, camping, laughing around the campfire, playing cards, country music, and cheering grandkids and great-grand kids on in so many different activities. They road-tripped to many states in the US, snowbirding in AZ and summering on Leech Lake. He was a sweet and gentle man, loved by everyone who knew him.

Preceded in death by his mother, and father, brother Gene, sister Gerry, brother-in-law Bud, sister-in-law Joan. Survived by his devoted/treasured wife, Barb, of 51 years; children Greg (Carolyn), Scott (Kristi), and Nancy (Nate); Grandchildren: Brittney (Barry), Brooke (Bryce), Samantha (Andy), Danielle, Paige (Eric), Trevor, Ryan, Justin; Great Grandchildren: Maddie, Landon, Jordan, Joey, Jaxon, Zeke, Hudson, Case, Carson, Abbie, Hayden, Evert, Ellis, Ellie, Olin; Nephews: Erwin (Barb), Kurt (Andrea), Nieces: Jill, Carolyn (Todd).
