Menning, Joseph Age 87 of Richfield, born in South Dakota, died peacefully July 2, 2025. Joe lived most of his life in Richfield and was the local locksmith. He enjoyed coaching softball and helping in the community. He was a charter member of St. Peter’s Church and active volunteer, including many years as an usher. He loved working on projects in his garage and took pride in keeping his driveway and car spotless. He was incredibly warm, endlessly kind, and had a dry wit. Preceded in death by parents, Tony and Alice. Survived by wife of 61 years, Sue; children, Sandy (John), Doug (Steph), Barb (Terry), and Debbie (Todd); grandchildren, Lukas, Tommy, Val, Abby, Erik (Koi), Noelle, Marcus, Hannah, Elenore, Maria, and Daniel; siblings, Bruce (Nonna) and Janet; and many relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, July 22, at the Church of St Peter, 6730 Nicollet Ave S, Richfield, MN. Visitation 1 hour prior to Mass at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Peter’s or N.C. Little Hospice. Private interment.
