Michele Lillian Wiegand Obituary

Michele Lillian Wiegand, age 74, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, due to sudden complications from metastatic cancer. Michele was born to Arthur and Mary Wiegand on April 14, 1951. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Vicky Wiegand. She is survived by her beloved husband, Sidney Gasner, and daughter, Ananda Wiegand. She is also survived by stepdaughter Shenessa Hanson, stepgrandchildren Brandon Roberts and Ashley Roberts, along with nieces Luisa Wiegand and Pearl McGuire and nephew Rolan Wiegand.

Michele lived a colorful, rich inner and outer life. She was beautiful inside and out. Light, truth and creativity followed her wherever she went: as a visual artist, potter, Master Gardener, Executive Director of PRG, housing advocate, realtor agent and broker, Partners of the Americas Fellow, yogi, tipi dweller, stone house builder, Zumba dancer, meditation practitioner, thirty year Al-Anon member, bicyclist, inspiring cook who brought people together at her table, relentless card and Scrabble player, Crab Apple Blossom Festival organizer extraordinaire, and world traveler-adventurer with Sidney and Ananda. Michele was both the gardener and the garden. Michele thrived!
