Wayne John Jurmu. Son of Hilma and Waino Jurmu. Wayne passed away on June 11, 2025 in Maplewood, MN surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his loving wife Joyce, their 3 children Sheri Lane (Randy Tryman), Mark Jurmu (Angie Jurmu), Barb Carnes (Rob Carnes), many wonderful grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Everyone who met Wayne will forever remember him as the man who always had a smile on his face! Don't underestimate him though, because he was never afraid to speak his mind when he sees fit. Despite all of that "Spice" he knew how to make someone laugh until they were blue in the face. Let's not forget his signature "Hiiiii" when he saw someone he knew well & loved. Wayne had a love for beef pasties after growing up in the UP of Michigan and brought that cherished meal down to the family he made here in MN. He did pick up some new favorites such as Pepsi, donuts and don't forget the Pabst Blue Ribbon! Wayne worked at the St. Paul Post Office for 34 wonderful years and retired from there. But then started working at Target for something to do. Later in life he became well known for his love of horse racing and scratch-offs. Let's just say he had a feel for the thrill of winning. Wayne has gone through many hardships in his life but that has never stopped him from being the person he was. He has taught so many people great life lessons beginning from how to manage your money to how to treat the people you love. Wayne's family can attest to this when we say he was a man with many questions. He cared so deeply and wanted to know every detail about what makes us well...US! This is just a little bit of who Wayne was. He will forever be missed by everyone he encountered because let's face it...Who could not love this man? He will remain near and dear to our hearts. Until we meet again.

11am Mass of Christian Burial at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in Maplewood, MN, with visitation 1 hour prior. Luncheon to follow.
