CAROLYN RAE WOELBER

Carolyn Lee Lindemann was born on December 6, 1946, in Adrian, MN, to Delores Lindemann. Carolyn was baptized on December 28, 1946. Delores married Ben Schuur on Dec 28, 1948. Carolyn was adopted by Ben with a new birth certificate, Carolyn Rae Schuur. She was confirmed on May 1, 1960, in Rushmore, MN. Carolyn graduated from Adrian High School on May 29,1964. Carolyn married August Woelber on December 12, 1964. They moved multiple times until they settled in Boyden, IA, where they raised their 4 children. After the children were old enough, Carolyn started working outside of the house with short term jobs; playground duty at the elementary school, receptionist with chiropractor Dr. JoAnn Baldwin, Kum and Go, and customer service at Pamida. August and Carolyn moved to Brooklyn Park, MN in August 2015 to be closer to their children. August passed away a month later in September 2015. Carolyn passed away on May 28, 2025, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN, reaching the age of 78 years.

Carolyn’s confirmation and favorite verse was John 15: 9. “As the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you, remain in My love” She truly lived this as she would tell anyone and everyone that she loved them. Carolyn was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Boyden, IA, where she was a member of the Dorcas Society. She also loved being part of the Red Hats Society Club in Boyden. Carolyn loved volunteering. She enjoyed visiting the elderly, shut-ins or the needy. Carolyn had a great sense of humor, always trying to lift people’s spirits. If anyone were having a tough moment, she would offer them advice that had helped her. She enjoyed being with family and friends, doing crossword puzzles, sudoku, jigsaw puzzles and playing any kind of card game or games that were challenging. Carolyn also enjoyed working with her children on their home remodeling projects and whatever else they asked her to do. She also liked refinishing furniture. She continued playing cards and touching people’s lives when she moved to MN.

Survivors include 4 children: Aaron (Michelle) Woelber of Waterloo, IA; Karla Woelber of Eden Prairie, MN; James (Kim) Woelber of Zimmerman, MN; Jason (Kim) Woelber of Dallas, GA; 5 grandchildren, Megan (friend Cody) Woelber, Alex Woelber; Logan, Tylor, and Alicia Woelber; 4 great grandchildren, Dakota Fifeld, Kobe Tucker, Rayna Tucker, and Adlee Mehmen; 1 brother Russell Schuur; 2 aunts, Vernice VanderPoel and Linda Lindemann; 3 brothers-in-law, William Woelber, Frederick (Wanda) Woelber, Wayne (Nancy) Woelber; several cousins, nieces and nephews and multiple friends. Carolyn was proceeded in death by her husband, her parents, her in-laws, multiple aunts and uncles, cousins, and a sister-in-law.

Visitation will be from 4-6 P.M., Sunday, June 8, 2025, at St. John Lutheran Church, Boyden, IA

Graveside Service will be held at 9:45 A.M., Monday, June 9, 2025, at St. John Luther Cemetery, Boyden, IA. Memorial Service will follow at 10:30 A.M. at St. John Lutheran Church, Boyden, IA.
