Her friend Louis was a God send for her. He made her feel special, smile and feel safe when she needed it the most. Louis was able to give her a sense of normality when he turned on some music and danced with her, which brought the biggest smile and glimpse of happiness back to her. Louis was her angel.

In her twilight, Florence enjoyed the company of many new friends. Her granddaughter, Megan, discovered a choir specifically for people with dementia that met once a week. Megan took time to take her grandma every week, and they both looked forward to that special time together.  She sang for 3 semesters in the Giving Voice Choir. There she made friends and melodies. She was welcomed with smiles and hugs every week and for the first time she let out the song in her heart. She sang at Orchestra Hall last year and her love of music shined in her voice.

She carried her love of friends and family with her to the end. She is truly at peace now.
