Obituary of Charles E Wood
Charles (Chuck) E. Wood, aged 57, passed away on May 22nd, 2025 in Chanhassen, MN. He was born December 22nd, 1967 to Charles and Ann Wood (Luedtke) in Minneapolis MN.
Chuck grew up on a farm outside of New Prague, MN, where he enjoyed helping his dad and brother during fall harvest. He graduated from New Prague High School in 1986. Chuck attended the University of Minnesota and graduated top of his class with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1991. With the help of his brother, Greg, Chuck earned his private pilot’s license. He went on to achieve a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard University in 1995.
After graduating, Chuck returned to his true passion of engineering, where he spent the last 15 years employed at Olympus in Brooklyn Park. Chuck married Pam Wood (Witkewics) on July, 24th 1993 and the two would go on to build a beautiful family of three girls; Melissa, Natalie and Olivia.
His family was the light of his life and he was the light of theirs. He loved traveling, learning, and experiencing life alongside those he loved most. There was no project on the automotive or home front too large for him and his sidekick Olivia to tackle. Chuck was an avid Minnesota sports fan. He was funny and giving. He loved deeply and was deeply loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ann Wood.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Pam Wood of Eden Prairie, MN, his three daughters Melissa, Natalie and Olivia of Minneapolis, MN, Gwen Wood of New Prague, MN, Greg and Christie Wood of Howard Lake, MN, Graham Wood of Jordan, MN and Gretchen and Chuck Wessel of New Prague, MN, as well as his loving nephew, nieces, and in-laws.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025
at the Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave S, Edina, MN 55435
from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
