Obituary of Carole Erickson Smith

Smith, Carole Erickson Myhre “Ginga” age 101 was reunited with loved ones in Heaven on May 18, 2025. She was born December 27, 1923 in Hesper, ND to Peter & Selma Erickson. 

In May 1942, she married Robert “Bob” Myhre. They had a son, Gary & daughter, Roberta. 

Preceded in death by: her loving husband; Bob, son; Gary, parents; Peter & Selma, brother; Stanley, second husband; Ernest Smith, & many other relatives & friends. 

Survived by: her loving daughter Roberta (David) Miller, Grandchildren: Kari Miller, Robb (Maren) Miller, Peter (Amanda) Miller. Great Grandchildren: Chase, Paige, Andon, & Quinn. Her adoring cat, Trixie. Niece Karen (Doug) Renfro, Nephew Kurt (Ann) Erickson, & many North Dakota relatives. 

A private service & interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery July 11, 2025.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
