The most wonderful person I've ever known has slipped away - the one person who loved me wholly, unconditionally, before I was even born and for every day thereafter. She nurtured, loved, supported and encouraged with every fiber of her being. How could I not grieve so when she is gone, even though she has asked me not to.
But I do have a lifetime of memories of a petson who gave me an exceptional life. We had a ball, didn't we? The blessings and experiences are too numerous to count.
She knew how to meet your needs whether you were family, friend, acquaintance, or stranger - having the gift of seeing, listening, and finding a way to respond perfectly. She knew how to make wonderful things happen without having to ask. She was the one who was always there.
I hope she felt it and believed that she was loved by those who were blessed enough to have known her at all. Was she really here? Did I just have to say goodbye to the best person I've ever known? Was I that fortunate to
have had her in my life for as long as I did? And did God really mean it when he promised eternity beyond our comprehension where we will meet again? I'm going to believe it - for it is what will see me through - there is no other way through my grief.
I'm not sad for her future - I'm just selfish enough to want more of her in mine.
