In Loving Memory of Sharon Patricia (O’Donnell) Polak, February 14th, 1935 – May 8th, 2025 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon, who left this world peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her daughter Patricia (Polak) Walchuk and son-in-law Paul Walchuk, along with her daughter Sheila Polak and son-in-law Keith Collins, as well as her beloved granddaughter Mary Margaret Walchuk (Drew Overmeyer) and grandson Harry William Walchuk. Sharon was preceded in death by her devoted husband, William Adolph Polak, and her son, Michael James Polak. Sharon embraced everyone around her with warmth and kindness throughout her life, nurturing countless friendships that blossomed into family bonds. Her greatest joys were her grandkids, Mary and Harry, who held a special place in her heart, followed closely by her children. Sharon is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews whom she loved as her children, and family friend Michael Travis, whom she loved as a son. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Julie Rosette, a dear neighbor and friend, for her unwavering support and care for Sharon over the years. A memorial burial will occur on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with guests asked to arrive by 1:45 PM at Fort Snelling Cemetery, Assembly area #2. Following the burial, we invite everyone to share in a celebration of Sharon’s life at her favorite gathering spot, Tailgate, and then for lunch at the Walchuk home around 2:30 PM. Letter From Heaven

When tomorrow starts without me, and I’m not here to see, if the sun should rise and find your eyes, filled with tears for me.

I wish so much you wouldn’t cry, the way you did today, while thinking of the many things we didn’t get to say.

I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, and each time you think of me, I know you’ll miss me too.

When tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right there in your heart.

Love, Mom
