Obituary of James Edward Jaremko
James “Jimmy” Edward Jaremko passed away on May 7, 2025 at the age of 65. Born on July 27, 1959 in Minneapolis, he was the loving son of Constance and Peter Jaremko.
Jimmy was a graduate of Edison High School. Not long after, Jimmy began his lifetime career in the trucking industry, starting out on the loading docks before working his way up to becoming an owner/operator semi-truck driver. Jimmy also earned a degree in radio communications from Brown Institute and had a brief stint as a DJ for a couple years in Pine City. This could explain his comedic timing and talent he was known for.
Jimmy had a great passion for athletics. In high school, he played baseball and later on played amateur baseball, continuing on to play softball for many years. Jimmy liked to fish, spending countless trips with his friends and family up to various lakes. He was best known for his part-time role as comedian on the Mille Lacs launches. Jimmy was an avid gardener, enjoying his time outside in his vegetable gardens, and keeping a manicured lawn.
He was well known for his generous and kind personality, always looking out for everyone. Jimmy spent a good part of his life helping families less fortunate than him while being a mentor and positive role model to kids. His generosity and kindness often extended generationally. Jimmy was an avid support of law enforcement, first responders, and military members.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Constance; father Peter; brothers, Allen and Walter; sisters, Charlotte and Jeanette.
Jimmy is survived by sisters, Paulette, Nancy (Bob), Annie; brothers, Marty (Gayle), Joey, Matthew, Tom (Nancy); many nephews and nieces; extended family: Jeremy, Stephanie, Destiny, and Lane; Jon, Troy; Kyle, Destiny, and Theo; Antonia; Bud; Zavier; and Izaih.
